Neptune Class

Pupils are grouped in mixed ability age groups across KS2 and KS3 following the Semi formal and Pre Formal+ curriculum.

We learn through play and fun practical activities. You will see us working hard in class and looking at ways to develop our independence in our learning. We like to visit the local community for swimming, leisure and life skills when possible. We use a total communication approach to support pupils, and social and emotional conversations are part of our daily diet. We have a particular focus on Zones of regulation and look for lots of opportunities to recognise how we're feeling. 

This term our topic is All About Me - Keeping healthy / The Body. We are focusing on poetry, using the anthologies 'An emotional menagerie' and 'Blood, bones and bladders'.
