The Buttercup staff team are Emma (teacher), Abby, Kirsty, Jenna, Rhea, Caitlin & Clare.
We are a group of 11 pupils aged from 6-9 years. We have 5 members of staff. Emma is the teacher Mon-Fri. Abby covers Emma's PPA time. We are supported by Teaching Assistants and members of the Physical Support team each day. Most of our learning is done via a sensory and communication approach. We have our own tailored curriculum and some of us use the Engagement Model which we follow alongside all of our own EHCP learning outcomes to helps us to meet all of our learning needs. Lots of our learning and photos are recorded on Earwig for our families to see.
The Classroom has a group sensory room and direct access to the outside area with play equipment which we access every day. We also like to go on walks around the school seeing older and younger friends and joining in with Forest School. We enjoy hydrotherapy/swimming, switch work, Rebound Therapy, sensory stories, art, cooking, music, sensory room sessions, problem solving, exploration and communication work and much more. We love to go out on school trips. Recently, we have been to the University of East Anglia Sports Park, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and our local Church.
